17 Overall, satisfaction with technology spend over the past 24 months is moderate among all respondents, with a rating of 6.2 out of 10. Shippers-only are slightly more satisfied, registering a rating of 6.4 out of 10. While companies are often interested in innovative technology solutions, finding the right partner that offers the tailored tools they require and that can work well with their business model can be challenging. Those who haven't implemented digital solutions, especially those who have no interest in them, may find it increasingly difficult to compete against peers who have capabilities like greater visibility, real-time pricing, access to carriers or freight, carrier verification, and instant freight payments. Visibility solutions are in fact the most actively considered or implemented digital solutions among all respondents, with about 46% who are in the process of implementing, who have implemented, or who plan future investments. Among shippers, this figure is slightly higher at 47%. Real-time pricing via application programming interface shows a notable gap between interest and action. While 25% of all respondents and 27% of shippers are interested, only approximately 18% of both groups have respectively implemented it with or without plans for future investment.
